Have you ever had braces???

Yes, but I didn't get them until I was 21 years old. My mother could not afford to get them for me when I was a child, so once I graduated from college and was on my own, I got braces. I wore them for 3 years. I met my husband right after I got them on, and we got engaged 6 months later. Our engagement picture had me with braces... I felt like a little girl! But, for a wedding present, my orthodontist took the front braces off, then put them back on after I got back from my honeymoon! So in the wedding pictures, I don't have braces! Yeah!

Yes I had braces in while in seventh and eighth grade. I only had them once, but prior to getting braces I wore an appliance (like a retainer only it is adjustable to correct problems) for many years prior to that. After braces I wore a retainer for a few years.
