I do believe that online relationships works, i am example of that. I have 2 great friends on web, they are with me from last 3 years. Such realtionships are totally based on trust and honesty for each other. Not necessary to see each other in real, you can still communitcate through potal letter and messengers. It makes me feel world so small!

I don't think an online relationship is the best way, but a lot of people have made it work. For some, yes. I met one of my girlfriends off the internet. However, we did not start dating until after we met, and we met pretty soon after first talking and we hit it off pretty well. It didn't last super long, but it was a good relationship and we stayed good friends after we broke up. So, for me, you have to meet the person soon after talking for it to work out well.

i don't think establishing a strong relationship is as easy as that. i having nothing against dating sites or friendship sites, but in my opinion, i think these sites are like a fast forward process in starting a relationship. i believe that time is also a factor in making a stable relationship. although people are able to share information through the internet, i think these information are not enough since you can't really say that the person you are communicating with is being true to you. i think that the best way to know someone them is being with them for a long time.

Yes, it is possible, if you know what you're doing. I met my fiance on a friends/dating/personal profile site. We chatted online for about 6 months before we met in person. Once we met, our romantic relationship started immediately. That was three years ago and we're getting married next year. So it is possible, but it's like anything else, you just have to get to know the person. It you just see someone online and set up a meet right off the bat, you're not going to hop in bed together as soon as you meet(unless that's what you're going for). We got to know each other online from talking for several hours everyday for six months. The key is honesty. Not everyone is honest online, and altough that sucks, it does happen. So always be careful, there are con-men, but there are in real life as well, so it's still about the same.
