Can you eat with chopsticks?

my first time to use a chopstick was in shanghai, china. our host took us to a posh restaurant, and being the only one who doesn't know how to use a chopstick, i didn't say anything. its was so frustrating because all the food looks delicious and i can only ever so slowly so as not to drop my food! after that experience, ive decided to practice using chopstick so that next time there's a great meal, i wont be left behind!=)

i used to feel really embarrassed that i didn't know how to eat with them.once in a restaurant me and my friend asked for forks instead of chopsticks.actually i didn't want everybody to know that we didn't know how to eat with them but my friend just asked for forks.i can never forget the look of the waiters and others who were there to eat with us.it was in india ,i looked around to other tables and i found some others like me.eating chinese with forks.then my other friends made us both learn how to use it.now in a chinese restaurant i eat with chopsticks.

Yes it is very easy. Practice it .

I have worked in Taiwan for 5 years, mostly they used chopstick so I was forced to learn to used it also. If you want to learn how to use it, try using chopstick when eating even when you're at home. Its easy to learn, just like learning your ABC.

No I have never found myself embarassed eating in a chinese restaurant and yes I can eat with chopsticks I found it quite easy to them.

No i cant eat with chopsticks but it would be interesting for me to learn because i am one of those fast eaters and im sure using chopsticks would slow be down a bit and help trim down the waistline.

Yup especially eating noodles with chop-sticks was horrid experince for me when i was tried them personally but after that i ahvent tried them....lol
