I really believe it can cure the ovarian cyst because Some friends told me about this traditional chinese medicine like herbal and I have tried it for 2 months . And it works , my cysts dissappear ( Its size is 4 cm ) And i'm very happy right now. But remembering that all of the herbal doesn't have any evidence based medicine or any medical journal that can prove it , I don't know how this herbal works to eliminate the cysts.

As I said about cysts in general, the hormone fluctuations regarding particular levels before, during and after your cycle is a constant battle for relieving the pressure cysts cause. A body is not completely void of them just because the pain has stopped, or periods have resumed normalcy, or pressure has decreased in the lower pelvic region-- all this means is that the cyst is now comfortably small enough to not disrupt its hosts daily activities. It is not threatening in size, color, shape or contents but it is not completely gone ! I know from experience with one that has been in my system for 15 years before it flared up only to be naturally tamed down again in the last four months.

I know all about those hormone fluctuations affecting the severity of symptoms. I have a male family doctor (but will be changing!) who thinks it's all in my head. Are you saying that on the Chinese herbs, that it doesn't cure the cysts, but rather, suppresses the symptoms?

I am afraid that an ovarian cyst can never be 'completely cured of' since dissolving is in natures true hands. All the natural healing agents out here, I have used Wild yam (discorea root from an authentic asian market) to supplement the natural lack of progesterone my body needed to ensure that just enough estrogen was being released, as an over-production of estrogen due to lack of proper amounts of progesterone keeps a cyst active. I shrank mine from 3inches to almost less than one inch, BUT it has taken me nearly two years and even with every cycle of heavy cramping and shedding of endometrium, many gynocologists (male and female) have confirmed only menopause will truly void the (my) (our) reproductive organs of cystic material. But no doubt in my mind that my pain tolerance, swelling, irritability, moodiness, tenderness and excruciating pain has been minimalized and effectively softened the blow to my ovary because I researched and adopted several homeopathic avenues to take in healing myself from this. I should have scrolled down to read your post before dashing off my last response. This post validated the symptoms I've been having, and I know (despite what my family doctor says) it's not all in my head. Thanks for posting your blog link. I've bookmarked it so I can spend more time reading it. I appreciate your sharing your experiences.

I encourage you to study your body. Understand what foods, additives, carcinogens (cancer causing agents in your foods and beverages) and environment might be doing to make your body produce cysts at all. Find this stuff out and yes I do agree that much of the Chinese herbal medicine alternatives are far better than something a medical doctor can prescribe but be cautious and read as much as you can about the products you choose to take for any affliction, gynecologic, endocrinologic, metabollic or psychologic. I cannot stress this enough to help you understand many womens bodies produce cysts, yours may be no different, but find out why. Family history particularly the maternal side of your genealogy will increase your chances of keeping your system as free as possible from damaging cystic material. Good luck to you and please contact me if you wish to discuss this more privately.

Can you tell me what the herbal medicines are or point me to some resources that discuss the medicines and conditions? I've had no success with traditional medicine. I did have short-lived success, until I developed pulmonary emboli as a side effect of the hormones I was taking. Any resources are welcome. Thanks.
