Does hair grow thicker after shaving? When should a teenager start shaving?

I let my daughter shave when she was around 12 because she was getting teased. I don't know about growing thicker but it sure is a pain to keep shaving.

it is true that the hair grow thicker after shaving.. also shaving by a teenager can be started depending on the growth of hair that he has which again depends on his hormones

The hormones and genes are directly related to thicker hair growth, so i would say its not necessary that if u shave your hair often u would have a thicker hair growth, i would say u should start shaving around 17years when hormonal changes tend to happen in tennagers.

Hi YES it does My advice is not to shave if you can avoid it! Most teenage men want to become "Adult" and start shaving! 17 is probably about right, and then only a couple of times a week!

I have always heard it did. I think at puberty teenagers should begin shaving. Puberty is a different age for everyone, so it would depend on the child. My son started shaving at 15 but he still does not grow facial hair very thick. A lot of his friends had full beards at 15. my son has so much indian in him he may never have a thick beard. His best friend started shaving at about the same age and has had a full beard since after the 10th time he shaved. It is different for everyone.

hi, i dont think the saving is the cause of thick hairs....some people has large growth in hairs....they have to shave daily...and on other hand some shave in 7 days....it depends on the growth of hairs.... but if u save regularly then definately ur hair will become thick and u will feel uncomfortable.....as the best age for cutting hairs or we can say that the best time for shaving is at the age of 17(for Man) and in case of girls it may be at the age of 15 to 16. as in this age person is good for shaving... bt try to make ur save rate as low as possible.... rock on every one out there
