reservations an unjust stupidity

does caste and creed still play an important role in today's modern technolized computer world??? Would it really matter the person who designed an ati hacking software (world's best) is who from his back ground?? If no, then why do we still owe reservations? WHy do we have certain fixed quota for a particular group of people? Why I ask?
Now isnt it discrimination? Isnt it just fooling around of equality and fraternity?

I am totally against discrimination it is wrong and there is no need for it in this day and age.

well guys u might say that i am against u but lets say reservation is done to uplift poor and low caste people, now if its done to educate them and atleast bring them to level where they can earn on themselves i think the job is done, so at ug level i wont oppose the reservation but it should not be increased from the current level, for pg level i dont think that u need to offer any sort of reservation cause if he has done ug then he can earn and can economically help the family if he wants to do pg then he can take loans which he can return when he is done with the course..
