you got that right. let's just wait and see who's gonna bag the mvp award this coming season. but i'm really hoping that the rockets bag the champinoship, tmac is really a good player together with his team mates. :)

steve nash maybe the frontrunner at this point. But kobe bryant, gilbert arenas are close behind. Simply because their team has overachieve. Look at the lakers (26-14) now, they dont have a lot of players who they can depend (kwame and lamar on the injured list), and many experts pick them at the lowly 8th spot in the play-off, some even worse (missing the cut). on the other hand, arenas has been on a tear this season -- well you may discount his latest struggle. And it shows the wizards success. other notable players: lebron james, melo anthony, carlos boozer, dirk nowitzki

I really like Gilbert's offensive output this season, but the Wizards simply can't - and won't - compete at high a level as the Suns and Mavericks do night in and night out. If there's a close player behind Nash at this point, it Dirk Nowitzki and no one else. Carmelo Anthony? What a model MVP he would make after sucker punching another player on the court. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant? Nah, not enough. The bottomline is, there's only Nash and Nowitzki racing for the MVP award. There's just no one else good enough to challenge them for it.

If Miami Heat reach the playoff, Dwayne Wade is a tough contender. Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki also has chance.

He will probably be the MVP until his body breaks down because he is just perfect in that phoenix run style of play.

I think it's gonna be close fight between Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki. Since Steve got injured, the Phoenix Suns are not doing too well. That proves how important he is to the team. Dirk, on the other hand, is the captain of the number one team in the league. And he posts monster points and rebounds per game.

steve nash.. now im having second thoughts on dirk's leadership abilities, it seems he can't carry the mavericks past the warriors. now im revising my rankings 1. steve nash 2. kobe bryant 3. lebron james 4. dirk nowitzki 5. tracy mcgrady

I think it'll be Dirk, but it's very close right now. I think it's definetly between only Dirk and Nash, and I feel Dirk deserves it more.

I think it will be Lebron he has really stepped up well this year.. Don't get me wrong has played good all seasons with being in the league but this guy has just really played some awesome ball and his players are huddling with him.

Right now, I give the edge to Steve Nash, but watch for Dirk Nowitzki, and Kobe Bryant to make a run for it in the near future. Go CAVS

Gilbert arenas? Lol. Steve nash is a serious contender as we can see from the recent slump in Phoenix Suns form without the injured Steve Nash(injured shoulder). They seem lost without Nash. However, there is a up and coming contender. Steve Nash buddy- Dirk Nowitzki. Dallas is simply flying with Dirk in sparking form.

steve nash better start doing something more spectacular than what he's been doing to win his 3rd straight MVP award. he's a close second to his pal dirk nowitzki. and in the current MVP race, the german sensation has been a consistent number 1 Race to MVP 1. dirk nowitzki 2. steve nash 3. lebron james 4. kobe bryant 5. carlos boozer
