Smoking to be outlawed!!!

nothing suprises me any more i really think the health fascists have taken over. In England we have banned smoking in pubs and clubs from April 1st this year, how much longer before the smoke each car pumps out in to the air injuring the health of passive drivers (everyone else who breaths) is tackled by these zelots? believe me, it wont be long before it happens

It's ridiculous. I don't care if people smoke or not at this point. I'm more upset that the government feels they have the right to control us this way. Why is it just a few people can control so many. Smokers need to start banding together and voting to keep this things from happening. The more we allow them to take away our rights the more they are going to. Right now it's smoking but what will be deemed bad for us next? They are already trying to target fast foods and other fatting foods. Do we really want them to tell us what we can and cannot eat?

Here in Ireland the smoking ban has been in place since Jan 2005. It is now illegal to smoke in a public building and even in a company car. Now there is talk of banning smoking in any public place including the streets. So I won't be allowed to smoke, but nodbody is doing anything about my having to inhale all the smelly fumes from the old banger of a car driving along the road in front of me. It is near time our governments got their priorities in order.

In India smoking has been outlawed from all social stratas namely movies,cultural meetings and other public places...although individual smoking isnt outlawed yet but still it would be good step if they plan to ban it too...
