So, I just had a lady today say happy new year to me. It is the 12th of the month! Is that too late?
Should we be saying happy new year still about week after the new year begins?
When do you think it is apprpiate to say it -until when after the new year beings?

That seems kinda late to me too. but it would be interesting to go around saying Happy Halloween or something just to see what kind of reactions you'd get.
I agree with the first poster. If you haven't seen a friend since beforethe New Year it makes sense -- but it's even getting late for that.
Thanks for the interesting post!

i think u can still say it if u meet someone and u know her/him and have n´t talked to her/him.Although it is getting a little late for my taste as well, but i wouldn´t care to much if someone said it to me =)

I only say it for like the first couple of days following new years. After that it seems like it is a little old.
