If you don't like crowds then you better stay far, far away! I used to really love going but New Orleans was taken off the list many years ago due to the crime in that city. I do manage to get my husband to go to one in Baton Rouge about every other year. It takes a year for the memories to go away...lol. Since he has been in law enforcement so long, this is really not his bag!

It's always been on my "vacation to do list" unfortunately again not this year. I never seem to have the money. I guess I should plan better. I also don't have anyone that would go with me right now. I would love to go, I wish you were just a bit closer. I'm in Ma. so travel is involved and a place to stay. But I will make it someday. Hope you have fun... I am envious.

No I want me able to go there and take part in the Mardi Gras celebrations. My grandmother always wanted to go the Mardi Gras she never did make it. But she did do alot of other things in life.

Are you coming to Krewe de Vieux, karen? Where do you usually watch it from if you do?
I can't wait til Carnival gets into full swing! My friend has a place right on St. Charles so we make a big deal out of it with food, drinks, friends and fun. Krewe de Vieux marks the only time during Carnival season I go out in da Quata.
