I've got blood pressure at a young age around 27 yr. The scale can go up and down depend on my life situation. I've taken medicine everyday to reduce the count. One of the bad side effect is it will lessen down my desire (i'm married). Does anyone have overcome and be cured from blodd pressure?

Hi alladdin.. high blood pressure is a degenerative disease. Yes 1 of the side effects of medication is impotency. The cause of hbp is blockage in your blood vessels. Hv you heard of ganotherapy? It is able to treat your body against most degenerative diseases. I'll explain in details if you are keen.

High blood pressure is a disorder that cannot be cured because it is a sort of the body's adaptation to the changes occurring in you such as vessel patency and integrity etc. The medication you are taking, I assume it's beta blockers from the discussion tag, works by reducing your heart rate and contractility, and it also sort of resets your pressure receptors that are responsible for detecting changes in blood pressure within your body, so that the higher pressure will now be considered as "normal". Yeah, one of the main side effects of beta blockers are impotence, and that explains the lower desire. Have you tried other medications, because as a phamacy student, I learned that beta blockers are like the third or fourth line of treatment. First line is usually ACE inhibitors, thiazide diuretics or calcium channel blockers. Unless you have other conditions such as heart failure, angina or atrial fibrillation, beta blockers are not usually considered first line because of its tendency to cause stroke. Hope I didn't just scare you with that last statement.......
