Who's clock is she on?

Situation: The Democrats announced their 100 hour plan. After recessing on Monday for college football and therefore recinding on one of their campaign vows, they have recinded the 100 hour plan and made it the first 100 Legislative Hour plan. Now.. by my calculation.. based on the clerk of the House of Representatives, the House has been in session for over 55 hours, yet a quick glance on Speaker Pelosi's site (do a quick google search if you want to see it yourself) they are only 23 hours into it. Where did the rest of the hours go?

It's 100 hours spent actually discussing the policies and bills under consideration on the days that the House is in session.

Which is not what they promised at the outset.

Democrats tend to make up the rules as they go. They will also lie and misrepresent as often as necessary to get their way. Most of what was 'accomplished' during the first 100 hours was just worthless symbolism, anyhow. There was certainly no evidence of wise leadership. Here is a post about Pelosi that still needs a response: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/628087.aspx

It is just like the election - a lot of talk and no plan. It is what sound good in a thirty second sound bite.

Sounds like one of those governmental clocks that they paid $4.3 million for and have to wind up in order to make it work. LOL The "dems" aren't any worse than the "repubs" in wasting money, time and effort and surely aren't the only party to tell a lie now are they?

I dont think the democrats realized what they were getting into....they never had a distinct plan or course. they got in and are left wringing their hands going...ok...now what? if this is any indication of the next 2 years then i think in 2008 you will see a very different congress again. i also want to note that hte thought of the lady from Sanfransico being third in line as the leader of the free world genuinely terrifies me
