Mylot reputation?

WOW, let me start off by congratulating for getting a star rating of 10, the highest star rating given to users. For a user with a rating of 114 and receivde a star rating of ten i must say that its a very high honor. The star is mylot way of disguishing users according to their reputation. 5 being to lowest and 10 being the highest. You got 10 and you must be proud of yourself, it only means that mylot sees you as a reputable user. Users usually get that rating by contributing quality topics and responding to discussion with quality in mind. Congrats keep it up.

There was an 'alert' plus email sent out about it. I'm not great at explaining it but basically if you contribute positively to the site you will get a reputation star that goes from 1 - 10. Other people on mylot can affect your reputation by rating your discussions positively or negatively and your reputation will change accordingly. Also if your response is 'bested' then you will also find an increase in reputation

I think it is a wonderful new thing to help us know who we are talking to in our discussions

you already said it in your question. that is a reputation of user here in mylot. that is a new rule imposed by the management of mylot community

I think you earn reputation based on people voting positive on your answers. People voting negative subtract from your reputation too I think. I saw some people crying today because there reputation was going down.
