Disappearing points !!!

Yesterday, i read a post about a user who's points disappeared. I respond to that discussion and explained some possibilities that might have caused it. My rating was at 196 during that time, my fingers were pretty much aching so i responded to 4 more discussions then called it a night making my rating to 200.
This morning, after i signed in to my account i was surprise to see that my rating when back to 196. I was confused since as long i could remember i didn't respond to any nonsense one liner discussions that night or any other occasion for that matter, nor have i responded with a one line response.
I was just wondering, wouldn't it be better if mylot will send us an advisory if ever they decided to make deductions from out ratings? instead of just pointing their magic wands to users points and zapping it to smithereens and don't explain why they do it. Any opinion on this?

I have lose a few points also a couple of days ago. It is not the first time but devastated because as far as I can remember just what you've said I never posted irrelevant responses to any discussions and I see to it that the discussions I've been replying to was relevant and interesting because it's my friends topic. We can really never determine where are those points go and what are those responses or topics they've just deleted to get our points decreased too. They keep saying that they've deleted this and that but where I they? I suggest they must make I think an "Adios Threads" options so that we can check it. We just hope that our earnings will still increase when they updated our earnings before they pay us on our accounts. I now have 606 posts and it would be 607 after this. Hopefully they will not decrease it. This would be my proof. :)

I asked for an explanation and after a few weeks got a reply that said if they remove an inappropriate discussion and you have answered it your points are lost as well. They did not bive any indication of how they determine if a discussion to frivolous or inappropriate.

Thats the problem my friend, i hope that they will lay down a transparent guidelines on this matter.

I am sure it was due to nothing you did. It appears every month when My Lot does the payout they also clean out discussions that broke the rule in some way. If your reply was to any of these discussions then you also lost that point. It is best to choose your responses as well as your discussions. When you post to a discussion that has one word or a few lines then it will get deleted by the end of the pay period. I know it doesn't seem fair but the discussion was ruled as not being good so the responses are deleted too.
