How people, actual immigrants or not, call themselves/others ALIENS.. Just because you originate from another country does not make you an alien somewhere else... Personally I would feel degraded/pretty insulted if someone pointed me out and said "she's an illegal alien"... We're not aliens when we're not in our home country. We're visitors, or in a lot of cases, residents. I'd like to know how other people feel about it. I've read a lot of discussions on this site, and to hear someone call themselves an alien (legal or illegal)... I have no response to it because being called an alien is degraded... I'd feel like a total outcast in society when all I really would like to do is fit in.. I don't know how I'd handle it if I were coming from another country and someone called me that.

what if you came from another planet? How would you feel if someone called you an alien?

Well that's different. When you're coming from another planet. To another planetary life form, THEN you would be considered an alien.. But it's degrading to be called an alien when you come from the same planet, the same universe, just because you come from a different country and your race/colour/language are different, doesn't make you any less of a person, does it?

Funny, my sister used to..correction, she STILL tells me that I came from a frog family.
Then you'd be a...an amphibian? yes, I think that's the world.. Not necessarily an alien.
