What are the symptoms of a young child with asthma? Is it very common for a child to have asthma if there is no family history? How has it affected the lives of children?

My kids have asthma; there is no prior family history. It's becoming increasingly common. Doctors still can't agree on a cause. Labored breathing, as others mentioned, is a common symptom. It's also quite common for kids to exhibit a wet, consistent cough. My kids take daily medication. When they have bad attacks, that includes Albuterol via a nebulizer. However, usually they are able to control it with daily meds. (Claritin and Singulair, in our case.)

As far as possible, avoid junk food, cold drinks, ice cream.Instead, add vegetable soups, fruits to your kids diet. This will improve their resistance. I do not know how old are your kids?

Hi, There is cough with a whistling sound known as wheeze.Try to find out the cause and keep your child away from it. For eg.animal dander, dust mite in stuffed toys, sometimes chocolates, nuts, eggs may also trigger asthma.Don't worry asthma can be controlled.

Wheezing when around cats normally. That is how my parents figure it out.
