1, the most important: a firewall
even more important than anti virus software.
ZoneAlarm
and seems there are some free ones.
2, anti virus system
Kaspersky AVP
the free AVG
3, anti keylogger, anti trojan softwares, and anti malwares
spybot search and destroy
spyware blast
the above 2 are free, and use them at the same time
the chinese made IpArmor, seems one of the most effective ones with live protection
and there are some more freewares
besides the above 3 measures, you have to train yourself with a good habit of online surfing:
- use FIREFOX instead of IE or IE based browsers
(you ll get a script to your computer if using IE to open troybank.com, but no problem with firefox)
- if you always have large cash flow online, you are advised to use a SPECIAL computer to access your accounts, better not with windows OS
- not to click any links in email to access your important accounts
- never use the same password for different accounts
- change all of your passwords on a regular basis
- always get yourself protected

agree, that's the most important for you to surf. Everyone should be careful to the security issue & have the basic concept for it. Don't tell anyone your account password in any way.
