No Love for H.P. Lovecraft

I've searched, and I can't find a single thread about the great writer H.P. Lovecraft. Sure, not all of his short stories were the best, but most of the Cthulhu mythos was amazing. He was the inspiration for a lot of Stephen (sp?) King's works and he continously tried to continue Poe's style and keep the short story alive and popular. Is there anyone else here who liked his stories.

I have just started a thread on H. P. Lovecraft. I've only read about five of his short stories so far, and although Beyond the Wall of Sleep didn't seem scary per se, I did quite enjoy that one. Now I am in the midst of the second chapter in Shadow Over Innsmouth which seems to have some kind of amphibious qualities to it so I am excited about reading further. My favorite story so far is The Hound.

Simply put, Lovecraft is the father of modern horror. Cthulhu for president!
