Men and Women Everywhere But No Water to Drink

It is generally believed that man can not add to the matter in any form. He can just transform one matter into the other. Similarly, the amount of water whether drinking or otherwise, is also said to be almost fixed. It has a definite cycle into which it is changed from time to time without affecting the total quantity, At the same time the scientists predict a global water crisis in the near future. Some even go to the extent of saying that the Third World War, if ever fought, will be fought for water. How come, that we have come to such a pass. Is it due to the increase in polulation? If so, how much population can the existing water sustain? The natural sources of water have alarmingly begun to dry up. Where has all the water gone within as short span of time as 50 years, which had been flowing for thousands of years?
