I would like to know if anyone can be a "at home" games tester. I see all these scams on the internet saying you can test games at home for Xamount of money etc. I would like to know if you can actually test new games at home and how you would go about doing it?

I wouldn't trust those website that are selling stuff for people to become video game testers. Those are nothing but scams. The best bet would be to contact the official video game developers and ask how you can become a video game tester.

common sense tells you that any games producer will look for serious and able games players...These can be found on any games site. The best players will be selected for any offers that are about. Stop dreaming...get a job!!!

Most game companies have in house testers. Few like Blizzard offer public beta testing for some selected hardcore gamers but they don't pay as far as i know. If you really want to join the industry for testing games, join as an intern or a mod community. Better select a game that you love join the modding team, but dont expect payment.
