What would you use Alchemy for?

Would you join the Military, teach people or try to make the world better in some way? Or perhaps you'd just make loads of fun waterslides and spend your days having fun?
Is there a particular gift you'd like. Such as Roy's ability with Fire?

I'd actually want to get into medical alchemy. It was a branch that wasn't really delved into in the series much, other than Marco and a little with Izumi and Lujon, but I think it could be extremely beneficial. Obviously the human body is difficult to manipulate, but I think with the right practice and studying the chemical components of the body, advances could be made. Without the aid of the red stones. The human body is, when you get down to it, just chemicals. Why can't they be manipulated?
Man, I sound like I'm taking a proposal to the Committee of Alchemists or something!

The problem with using alchemy on living flesh is that it's so dangerous. The smallest miscalculation and it's all over. Biological matter is so complex that the level of anatomical understanding in FMA just isn't advanced enough to be able to manipulate it very well. The very advanced alchemists can, to an extent - or so I'm assuming, since Dante taught Lust and Lust taught Lujon - but they basically have an understanding of medicine and biology equal to England/Germany in the early 1920s.
Actually, Mike Macfarland - who directed the dub of FMA and voiced Havoc and true form@Envy - has said there are some further FMA projects in the works. And Colleen Clinkenbeard and Sonny Straight (Riza/Rose and Hughes) alluded to a possible second movie.

Yeah, the time period correlates with 1920s Europe. Which makes research very easy. And why I always roll my eyes when people gripe and complain about terminology or knowledge. Like... oh, I RPed Hohenheim in a multi-fandom RPG, and players of modern day characters would start b*tching me out about his views and things he'd say, and I'd have to remind them that the man was born in basically the 1500s and his ideals and schooling reflect that.

i wouldn't mind being as good as the fullmetal, i wouldn't want the metal arm and leg or anything, but just being able to do it without a transmutation (sp??) circle is neat....man what things would i do...thats a pretty cool question. i would probably just use it in every day life...reparing things is probably one thing since my children constantly break things..lol. who knows..i wouldn't know how to use my powers to make the world better, but i would sure try. military...no, i'm not going to be the governments puppet...hehe...i work for myself.

hmmm...come to think about it, I think I would just go around travelling, earning my sustainment by performing helpful alchemy. It would be extra great if I had specialization with wind, air in general. I loved the show!

I would try to use Alchemy for the good of the world of course and it'd be fun to use for practical jokes etc. Mustang's fire ability would be useful for say cooking when you're lost and need a light, etc.

Mh, what to do...If I could use alchemy, I'd you it to make people feel better...But I think taht also would be fun ..have a little fun XD
