Communism did nothing to erradicate poverty! Basically, it took from the very rich, to hand the money to the soon to be wealthy! Communism failed because it's too idealistic and because corruption will always thrive. China is following an "improved type of capitalism"? How exactly is it "improved"? I don't see much sharing between rich and poor in islamic countries, which have some of the world's poorest poor. Even countries like Saudi Arabia now have a massive unemployment problem which is simply not sustainable. You can never eliminate poverty completely. There will always be poor people. Without poor people, there are no rich people. The only thing that can be done is provide these poor people with social benefits and other kinds of aid to allow them to live a dignified life and perhaps give them ways to escape their poverty. But there will always be poor people in the world and not enough political will to make any changes.

I think education its the best investment to eradicate poverty. government has its ways of governing but i really think the people should act too. No matter what kind of government there is. education is the best resort.

to irradicate poverty is to eliminate its causes. we can set several ways to improve the lives of poor people but we can't simply irradicate poverty by irradicating the poor. sustainable, even development is neccessary to achieve this. poverty is not the virus, it's not the cause. poverty is just a symptom. to eliminate the symptom, we should first identify the cause. remove it and heal the symptoms. after achieving that, we still need to protect what we've earned since viruses, bacteria, and other "sucking" parasites will do their best to get their host back.
