If you are willing to tell me just how you will use this extra money I will decide if I will tell you what I did for them. So what would you do with an extra stream of income?

Because I am self employed I am no longer contributing to a 401K or similar plan. I would probably invest some money into a IRA. I would also like to have enough money to make some improvements in my home. Daycare tends to cause some wear and tear on your house! The main reason I would like to find a way to earn money online is so I could continue to support myself and my family if I was ever disabled or unable to work outside the home. Most businesses hire fairly young people these days. I would hate to find myself at 55 years old out on the streets looking for a job with decent pay. I guess you could call it having an ace in the hole.

Finding ways to make money online isn't too difficult. You just have to find something you like and start promoting it. Find something people want and need and have the money to buy and you can start earning money.
Got other people selling for you makes you even more. That is why I like affiliate programs so much. Potential income.
