A tip on how to get more Referrals for myLot

How many of you are struggling to get more referrals? How many just don't know how to get them. Your referrals can earn more for you with little imput from your self.
Well here is a tip you can try.
Do you forward emails to your friends to share jokes and pics etc?
You can use this method by looking for jokes on myLot. Just type jokes into the search bar and it will return you discussions with jokes.
You can then create an email with the joke, add a pic if you want and put your referral link after the joke. It could say something like ** Join myLot and get jokes, create your own profile and earn cash for your discussions.**
A tip for increasing the effectiveness of this method is to link directly to the discussion you use in the email. You ca do this by copying the url of the joke and adding ?ref=username at the end. It should look something like this:
http://www .mylot.com/w/discussions/248648.aspx?ref=kpfingaz
If you send to 10 friends and each one send to 10 of their friends you would have 100 people who could possibly sign up. Not all of them will but just think the 100 people who have your email will send it to 10 people each. Thats 1000 and it would go on and on. You can send other jokes to follow up.

I think no one is that stupid to sine and then read about refferals , hmm... and i saied this site for abiut 20 people and just 2 of them is my refferals because others isn't so stupid and does it with out refferals ;) . They think to ear other free money is stupid . You idea maybe is good , but no one going to fall for that trick believe me . And i know what i'm saying on my mail ever one says thatks for site i earn money there realy fast but no one is my refferals and that is pure true . In fact they saied to me that they don't do that kind of silly think and more of that they aren't stupid you know . My opinion is that but if you think that is rong then say how many refferal you have :D . I sayed i have just 2 of them and they don't realy even bother to do something here they post 10 post per day and they think it is good when i post here about 100 in a day (exept and friday i was beasy that thay so i didn't post at all ) . So what can i say more just have a good and none rainy day.

Thank you! This is a very helpful post. I am just begining to work on referrals and am open to the suggestions. I tried yahoo answers but havents seemed to get response. What other ideas would you suggest?

Thank you for this suggestion and I will give it a try and see if it works. I only have two referrals right now and they do not even use myLot anymore so I am not earning anything off of them. Has this method worked for you? How many did you get to sign up and be active members?

I have not tried it extensively as yet but I have had good results as far as signing up considering I only sent one email to one friend and gotten 2 signups. I may still get more if the email is still being forwarded. I plan to send out more.

NIce tips. I make one siple site for my own country (Local server) and make the promotion in Indonesian language. I put mylot on the top of the page. and put it FREE and screen shot my e-gold.
Put my site link on my blog, my email signature also my forum signature. And the result, I get 24 refferal. NOw I change the refferal link into my sister refferal. Because she dont have refferal yet. And now she already get 7 ^^

I can see what you are trying to say .. but I respect my friends far too much to send them 'junk mail' .. they certainly wouldn't be my friends for very long if I sent them stupid jokes and other such rubbish .. and I would imagine if I did send 'that kind' of email to them it would be quickly dumped in the 'spam' folder
What I did do was to compose a carefully worded email explaining MyLot and saying how I had joined up and was enjoying the discussions and earning a few cents in doing so ..
Sadly, few of my friends have the time to make a site like MyLot a worthwhile money earner .. but at least I have kept my friends and not lost them by sending junk mail as you are suggesting ..

thanx for sharing the idea on getting more referrals (sending emails to our friends). i know by having referrals our earning will keep increasing more than ever.but i'm not the one who like to promote hardly. just like now on i have no referral but my earning keep up steady.anyway good luck.

It's a good idea, but I'll never send jokes to friends so they would know I would like them to join just for my bit of money, but I'll just send them a referral mail and ask them to join but I don't know, most people don't believe in this ( me included ) but this system looked reliable so why not try it out..
And yeah maybe they'll send it around, that could be, very interesting, maybe try it out, thanks!!

nice idea but wont work dude its just saying to signup and all of the people are so lazy that for seeing jokes they wont signup so no scope in this idea

Hmm nice but there is a problem, and that is when they sign up,they will not be counted ur referrals, coz the link is not ur referral link its just a link and not in any way ur referral link as no code or name or ip of urs is contained!!

hello.i have tried joining many people but they are all inactive.they really want to waste their time on chat but none of them are really intrested in working.but i dont know if your idea will work.how good was it?have you any good refferals who work properly?

Not everything is spam. If you send it to your friends designed as a FWd email it is NOT spam. I'm not even saying that I THINK it is not spam. It is NOT spam. As long as you send it to the people in your address book then you are safe. Please re-read my post.
