Better than a dead snake...

When my daughter was married, I asked her husband if I meddled. He said no. I asked my daughter the same question and she said yes. I thought that was quite funny. As far as my mother-in-law went, she was fun to be around and didnt meddle.

the mother in law who hates you is a cliche of course. As with everything else, depends on the case. Sometimes she is a terrible woman who makes your life impossible...other times the relationship is merely correct...others its good, and others it's excellent. It's unfair and inaccurate to say that all mothers in law are bad.
