I have an iPod Shuffle and my boyfriend has an iPod Nano. I haven't heard much about the Zune, but he said that it is better than an iPod. I'll probably find out more about it but I doubt I'll buy it since I have an iPod already. If, though, it has features that are way better than an iPod, I would think about it.

You can watch videos on them, right? And play games? Do they hold alot more songs than the iPod does?

i don't know what's up with microsoft, but they always try to copy apple things, and what make it worse is that they don't do a good job, but a terible job, for example Windows Vista is a bad copy of the OS of Mac, let's talk about zune, i haven't used it for a long time, i own an ipod and i really like what it got. Well, that's it, one more thing, in a post in the web i've heard that even the highest directors or something like that said that maybe zune must have to use itunes in order to function better, that windows media player will get with time unuseful

I am glad you like your ipod ,if you like it stick with it,newer doesn't always mean better. I have not heard that about the itunes. I have seen some very good dl sites for zune and they work very well so ... maybe their personal opinions ...:)

I wanted to get the Zune but it's not avaliable in the UK. Apparently it's not going to be either. We were expecting it's release just before Christmas to annoy Apple but Microsoft seem to have decided against it. iPods break too easily and you don't get a lot of storage space for the money, it seems to be more of a fashion thing. Personally i don't have either. I have a 5G Rio Carbon which was much more economic than buying a 5G iPod, i think i saved a couple of hundred pounds. The Rio is ok but it does have a tendancy to get mixed up. For example when your trying to put everything from your computer onto it it will copy some things twice or just put everything on when you don't want it all on. But as i say, for the money i shouldn't really complain.

a photo of zune - a photo of zune
i think zune are better than ipod i felt that ipod's were better but then now i feel zune is better compared to ipod here is some information about zune source:wikepedia Zune is a Microsoft brand of portable media players, associated software, and an online service for acquiring and sharing media. The device released to the U.S. market was a 30 GB model for US$249.99 on November 14, 2006. and here are some advantages of zune Ability to send photos, and some music files (not all music files may be shared) from Zune-to-Zune via Wi-Fi. Music files can be played only a maximum of three times on the device, and expire after three days whether they are played or not. Recipients cannot re-send music that they have received via the sharing feature.[2] Photo files may be shared without restriction. Ability to flag tracks received from Zune-to-Zune transfer, a tool used so that a shared song may be purchased from the Zune Marketplace after it has expired. Ability to play videos and view pictures. Updateable firmware. "ZuneTags", a field changeable username/profile visible to others who wirelessly scan the area for fellow Zune users. The wallpaper on the Zune can be changed to any user-specified image. The player software will automatically convert most audio and video in a format not supported by the Zune into a format that is. (e.g. a video with a resolution of 720x540 will be converted to a resolution of 320x240 if necessary).[3] Zune lacks integrated podcast support, with no podcast directory or automatic downloading through RSS feeds. However, most podcast files will play on a Zune, if they are unprotected and in a format which the Zune supports. Able to show other Zunes nearby what you are listening to or doing through advanced settings. Support for Zune Digital Rights Management (DRM) (incompatible with other DRM schemes). Able to add songs to a quick playlist without reconnecting to the Zune software. Built-in FM radio, capable of showing song information on supported FM stations using RDS
