Do we get anything for each response on our discussion posts?

I recently had a really good discussion response to one of my posts and was wondering how this works as far as how mylot considers the responses? I know that when I respond to discussions, my number goes up one point each time. I have had no points added to my number for the 100 plus number of responses to my discussion though? Does anyone else have the same situation or know how it works?

I'm not entirely sure of the answer to this, but then I don't think anybody here really understands how payment is determined. At first, I thought you got one point for each response you posted, each topic you started and each response your topic got. Wrong. I discovered the number only goes up one point for each topic regardless of how many times you post a response. This strikes me odd as it would seem they would want to encourage discussion ie responses to responses. Anyhow, even though you don't get a point for each response, I think the number of responses you get is used to weight the amount of money you receive. For example if you post five topics which each get one response, you might get 5 cents. But if you post five topics and each gets five responses you might get 25 cents. Sometimes, I think even the administrators here don't know for sure how the payment works. Or maybe they are tweaking it daily so what earned you a lot yesterday, gets you next to nothing today. Personally, I enjoy talking to people here so will just keep on doing so and hope someday they explain how they are paying.

This sounds like it might be a factor in some way then. It is confusing to some degree, but I like to respond more anyway so this helps to at least get an idea about the discussion posts
