The old media are looking pretty tame these days. Formulavision on TV and Reality Everything don't seem to be cutting it, any more. Are they just not getting the message, or getting it, and just staggering along with the same old stuff, while trying to catch up?

Good question. The television industry is always a bit slow to respond. it's just the nature of the business.
The bottom line is that TV looks at what sold last year, repackages it, and sells it again -- after all it's a proven product... people loved it last year.
It's also slow to respond because it takes a while to get a show developed. And because network execs don't like change. Change is risky, and execs don't like risks.

Yeah there are some people with odd reservations about throwing millions of dollars at unknown products. I just wish they were more in synch with the net, because as it is, they're trying to sell old news.

Interesting that the relevance seems to have gone, too, because it can no longer dictate what's current.
