I'm trying to lose weight but I feel so tired all of the time and it just makes me completely unmotivated to exercise and more inclined to eat sugary foods. I've heard people say once their fitness increases they have more energy than ever but even after changing diet and exercising for weeks I still feel lethargic. Any ideas on how to improve my energy levels?

Greetings Xkaraix i would suggest coffee , always does the trick for me. Just take little steps and keep at it ,supplement your diet with a range of different foods for most food groups. The trick i find personally is getting up straight away in the morning and getting that energy going

as said are you getting enoth sleep ? around 8 hours is a good amount to aim for for energy you need complex carbohydrates they give you the same boost as simple carbs from sugary foods but from a healthy source eat foods in there most naturall state such as oatmeal bran and brown rice foods such as root vegetables wholemeal bread, granery bread , corn ,oatcakes, peas ,beans ,and lentils all contain complex carbs

i think you must try to avoid eating so much. i would suggest you like other people do hahahaha... just kidding.... well try to fix your eating routine and don't eat between the eating timings. while in the eating time don't eat some thing more calorie-full i mean try to have some vegeies very low in calorie and take as much as you need. it won't only fill your stomach and you will not feel hungry but also will have no harm and chance to increase your weight. during that time try to eat slowly and try to have much more water before the meals because the water fills your stomach and will not allow you to have much food. in this way if you will not go for any excercise and other workouts still you will lose weight slowly and gradually

According to me one has to feel very healthy from within.Thats the secret to great health.Drink ,drink and drink more of water....Water will help you burn more and more of your fats.it will make you fresh all day long.As soon as you get up in the morning have 2 glasses of plain water.this will allow the blood to circulate faster and will leave you look younger. Have self-motivation.Have a time table for your self and will make one more desciplined in life altogether. have the determination that its for oneself that the work outs are been done This will help you keep yourself in good shape and healthy.

I am in the same boat as you. I am dieting and trying to start exercising in order to lower my cholesterol, but I am always tired. It was like that before the diet too. Have you had your iron levels checked through bloodwork? Fatigue in women is often caused by low iron levels which are depleted through our cycles. Try taking an iron supplement if yours are low, or eating spinach, liver, okra, which are high in iron. Also, I take a complex B-vitamin, which also helps the bodies energy levels. Also make sure you get plenty of potassium, through banannas or organges/orange juice. It really does help. Good luck to you.

I would suggest trying to change what you eat before and after exercise, drink orange juice, or any kind of vegetable or fruit juice. Maybe change the time when you exercise. If the problem of lethargy persists I would consult a Dr., there mayb be another underlying reason for this....to the best of my knowledge, when I exercise, I feel a little pooped after, but I dont feel lethargic, I feel content and a little energetic then after a while, drink more water that may help as well.

Yoga is the best way to improve energy level. Practise daily yoga in the morning for one hours. If you cannot do yoga you can join any weight loosing institute.

yeah...carbs...i know carbs are bad but theres a trick...see carbs after 3 pm turns into sugar byt if you have carbs during lunch time like a cup of rice or a small baked potato(plain) then u give ur body enough energy to make it through the day and also depending the time u wake up is depending the time u should go to sleep. you have to sleep 7-8 hours a night. the best thing that works for me is a scheduale...once ur body is used to a scheduale then its easy and cardio really does give u energy.

Get enough sleep (around 8 hours) and eat healthy. Eat healthy foods and vegetables. If you're losing energy then eat pasta. It will provide you with carbs that will boost your energy but pasts is healthy.

Take a multi vitamin every morning, and eat food with lots of protein. If you continually eat sugary good, you will get a sugar rush which is a burst of energy, but then this very low feeling. Simply walk, that is great way to loose weight, and try to exercise with a friend, or try to create competition. Try making a bet, to increase your drive. Find a passion which you enjoy doing outdoors and just do that. If you like to wrestle then wrestle. Oh before i forget swimming is one of the greatest ways to brn off energy. So play water pollo, or marko pollo in the pool. Hope this helps with your question.

Do exercise every morning and make your determination that you are not going to lose energy in every step of that day... Its better if you do exercise uder any professional person... Meditation is another way of increasing your energy level for the whole day,, Also you can do yoga Dont go against any sugary food as it contains glucose and gives you energy. Enjoy your life

if you are trying to lose weight you shouldn't stop eating. because you will lose strenght and sometimes the motivation too. i should eat some energy foods and energy drinks. if you want to eat someting you should go for and eat, but just eat half of it. if you do that and you just a bit of exercice you can lose weight and eat what you want and the better is that your will be always motivated and in good shape. good luck

Short walks in the morning and late afternoon or a quick 15 on a tread or walk mill. Also do a check on the foods you do eat. They may not be the right food for you.

I joined aerobic classes a month ago. It just rejuvenates and keeps me fresh the entire day. So at the end of the day I am so grateful for the beginning that I get a good sleep too. Maybe in your case it is more psychological. Give in and cheer up. Life is not that depressing.
