I come from a family who only went to church on Easter, Christmas, baptisms, weddings, funerals, christenings and confirmations. Why? Because the pastor was there. My father always said that you didnt have to go to church to pray and be forgiven - that God is everywhere and you can read the Bible at home. What do you think?

Your father was right. Prayer and worship can take place anywhere. God wanted poeple to congregate in church because there is spitual strength in numbers. But just being in church does not save you and does not make you a Christian. I can hop through the woods, but that aint gonna make me a bunny rabbit!!!

yes i do go to church.I believe that it is good to fellowsip with other believers. because you can encourage each other, pray for the needs and desires of those you labor with. and i feel that going to church help a person grow in understanding God's word, and learn how to apply it to his daily life. I don't think it is a must for everyone but for some to get a better understanding, they need to go.

It's not just a matter of prayer and Bible-reading but interaction with fellow Christians, the apostle Paul in Hebrews 10:25 reminded us not to abandon the assembling of ourselves together and so much the more as we see the day (of the Lord's coming) drawing near. We are sheep that belongs with the flock, not butterflies that wanders alone. And most importantly, God needs to build up His church, which He cannot do without His believers coming together.

we should go to church.. one of God's commandment was "remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy" so it means that we should go to church and obey God's commandment.. Going to church is also a good way of having fellowship with others.. well the decision is still up to you .. ~_~
