Sorry! Baby, mommy is afraid of mascots and clowns

i attended a birthday party of one of my close friends niece. she was one month old. traditional kids party there was a friendly mascot to entertain the kids. When the mascot came dancing the mother run so far and on the part of parents picture taking with the mascot she's shaking and after the flash she run near to crying. The poor moms so frightened

You know what, my wife is also afraid of mascots. She can view them from afar but never upclose. When did it all started? Well, when she was just a little kid, her nanny used to scare her with huge dolls and dress-up costumes till she got scared and made a phobia out of it. Eversince then, she hates getting near a mascot.
and myLot is acting crap again because I can't attach an image of a Jolibee mascot. :(
