Well i actually love both graphics and photo avatars.
I like when somebody have his own photo in avatar as much as i like good piece of graphics showed all over :) but it's up to user to take a choice what he likes most and put it into avatar

I like both. But I do prefer graphics over very tiny photos where you can't really see the person.

I prefer graphics....
Because it makes u feel that it is online a sence of being online...eventhough there is not uploadind now and then....
I hope you understand my point....

i prefer my own photo, if not, then an interesting picture will be ok also
