I hate reading articles where folks post with spelling mistakes since I feel it is carelessness on their part. Can you tolerate posts such as these? Your opinions please..

This is an earning Program needs answers for discussions and made Discussions for giving answers. No examination for getting a certificate or Degree. If we can understand the essence of the meaning the purpose will be made properly. Still you need to develop the member in spelling mistakes then choose a separate style of yours by making your entry with a view to correct them. Best of luck.

Thanks for responding. But an error is an error and no amount of justification can change it. Well, every human makes mistakes but some can be avoided. A well-framed content definitely gives a good opinion of the poster.

thanks for your defence. I do not know English very well, mistakes do many, I believe, but no one has never corrected. I have read your profile. Ireland, been never, but my heart is with U2 if only you do not neither like them night

I don't mind spelling errors all that much as long as they are still legible and understandable. I think most people are like me, and if they post a lenghty response, they really don't want to take the time to proofread due to limited time they have to spend on Mylot. Time is the essence! I only spend about an hour or 2 per day on Mylot throughout the day (and sometimes I can't even do that much). I think that some of us will just always have typos in our repsnses and that if that bugs people, they are either gonna have to like it or lump it.

First of all please let me appologise in advance for my spelling errors, im sure they will be a few, there generally are. Secondly, I am quite profoundly Dyslexic so my spelling can be a little erratic. However, with all this asside may i also say something in defence of those of us who do not ridgidly follow your ideas of correct or aceptable spelling. English, my language, is a living and dynamic thing, not a fixed monolith. Consequently, what you consider correct today, may well be considered incorrect tommorow, or indeed by another person. Do you really hate bad spelling? or was this a slight exaggeration on your part? if so then i forgive your inexactitude, now can you forgive mine? blessed be

i'm also quite bothered by the typo errors i see here on mylot. that's why i make it a point to proofread every post that i make. but there are some typos that seem to escape me even as i proofread them. i also understand that mylot is an international community. everyone is required to write in english. but not everyone here are as articulate as those from english speaking countries. because of that reason i comprehend that others may be commiting spelling mistakes. and for that, as long as i understand what they are trying to say it's quite alright for me. and if i don't, i just don't respond or respond by asking the author what it is he's trying to say.

If it irritates you that much, I suggest you stay away from my posts then. I do it often. Sometimes it is carelessness, sometimes I may actually not know how to spell a word. Usually it would be the carelessness. If I am not sure about a word, I will usually look it up, or go to e-mail and use spellcheck. Oftentimes, I just type up a response quickly and send it off without proofreading it. I just don't have the patience for proofreading. Call it my "adult ADD". I just want to send off my response as soon as I type it. Sorry if it irritates some people. I hope that in most cases, my responses are insightful enough, that readers can overlook my typos. I'm sure there are other cases where it is not carelessness. There are people from many different countries here and different educational levels here. They may not be great and written communication but I still value their opinions. Just because a person is not great at spelling or writing doesn't mean that their opinion is any less valuable. Just some food for thought.
