I do lots of things to help me relax; I will put on soothing music, do some meditation that involves deep breaths (thbe violet flame meditation is a great one for relaxing and feeling at peace). I also like to do some sort of physical exercise every day. And this may also sound unusual, but when I am getting upset or stressed out, I try to move my body in as graceful a way as possible as I am moving about. Not like dancing or yoga or anything, but just moving about as we normaly do, I try to focus my mind on the movement and do it with as much grace as possible.

There are a lot of ways to deal with stress. Try aromatherapy, using smells and fragrances to relax you. Some wonderful scents that are known to help relax a person are Basil (clears the mind), Bergamot (an asian fruit that has a scent that relaxes), Lavender (relaxes the body and mind), and Clove (known for it's comforting abilities in scent) to name just a few. Also, take a shower or bath, warm and soothing. This is also another great place to use aromatherapy as you can add oils with various scents to help you relax along with the water. There are relaxation tapes available that have soothing sounds, such as bubbling brooks, nature sounds, etc. that can help also. And some people find music and reading to be relaxing hobbies. Good luck!

we all go through a stressful moment in our lives. sometimes, it even happens most of the time. when i am stressed, i listen to music or log on to mylot and discuss issues with people here. after sometime, i get to forget that i had been to stress. i also sing songs or watch movies. there are a lot of ways to where you can divert your stress to.

In dealing with stress, the patient should completely change his life style. He should adopt an optimum diet which should be able to meet the nutritional demands of stress. Such diet should obviously be made of foods which, in combination , would supply all the essential nutrients. It has been found that a diet which contains liberal quantities of (i) seeds, nuts and grains, (ii)vegetables, and (iii) fruits would provide an adequate amount of allthe essential nutrients. Each of these food groups should roughly form the bulk of one of the three meals. These three basic health -building foods should be supplemented with certain special foods such as milk, vegetable oils and honey.

I try to make sure I have some time to myself every day to do whatever I want, whether it be reading a book, spending time on mylot, or just sitting in front of the tv with a cuppa. I also try to meditate after coming home from work and this helps me to unwind after a busy day at work. Just 15 minutes of meditation each day really helps.
