there are all types of scams out there i know of one person in Iceland that got finally tracked down was Mark Ashley Wells the founder of the company aquanetworld and is being taking to court on 25th septemeber 2005. This company disappered from Cyprus taking 600 thousand cypriots pounds with him in oct 2004 and has never returned since to Cyprus. He then started in England and is now in Iceland he is on the move changing his address all the time, because people this company owe money too are after him.
