Ohhh yess .. I can remember one instance perfectly .. I was 14 and I had been dragged to the hairdressers by my mother to have a stupid short hair cut .. I was trying to grow my hair longer and had just got it to shoulder length .. my mother didn't like long hair so 'I' had to have 'my' hair cut.. grrrr ..
I was marched into the hairdressers and forcibly sat down .. I asked for a trim .. my mother said cut it all off short .. I screamed the hairdresser cringed .. mother yelled .. I screamed the whole way through the hair cut .. I got a 'good hiding' when we got home for showing my mother up .. and I have never, ever forgotten her smug satisfied look once the hairdressers was finished and most of my hair was lying on the floor ..
That was the last time I ever went to a hairdressers to have my hair styled .. and I refused point blank to ever have short hair again ... and to this day I still have longer length hair .. much to my mothers continual annoyance ...

Yeah... I'm pretty sure that I did. Mostly because I was a little out there. I dressed strange and liked things that other kids at church thought were bad. And I laughed at really inappropriate times... but my brothers are the same way. We have a warped sense of humor I guess. I would say most of the embarressment would probably have to do with me not following all the church stuff ....

My children have embarrassed me in public by saying something inappropriate. My son, when he was about 6 blurted out in the middle of the school auditorium during a Christmas program..."look at that girls big honkers"...I laughed so hard.
I embarressed my father to no end when I was 16 and became pregnant. He was so ashamed that he kicked my butt out of the house. I disapointed him further by keeping the baby and not putting her up for adoption. That baby is now 15 years old and the apple of Grandpa's eye!

I don't ever remember embarrassing my parents. I know I would have gotten a nice spanking if I did and I would remember that :)
I do remember my little brother pulling a good one at my wedding. He was 5 years old and was the ringbearer. As we were all gathered and the ceremony just starting he decided to pull the pockets out of his pants and leave them hanging out. Everyone laughed in the congregation which made him turn around to start laughing and he just tugged on them a bit more. The wedding party was doing everything to not laugh and try to get him to settle down. It was a Kodak moment! The priest even laughed :)

Oh yes! I remember the Doctor coming to visit my Father when I was about 5 yeas old. He was wearing a very smart, dark coloured suit, and my Mother was fussing around him, making him tea, and biscuits etc. But he made the mistake of sitting in the old armchair that our boxer dog used to sleep in! Of course, Mum didn't say anything - just freted about the red-coloured dog hairs that wiuld ow cover his suit - but little Rosie pipes up with -"You can't sit there - that's Bruce's chair! No one is allowed to sit there!" Get out- it's Bruces chair!" LOL! My poor Mother was embarraseed about that until her dying day!
