i think they fear with sunlight or they sleep in morning and walk in night. They want fill fear in normal human so they seen more at night.

It's just an imagination or a person's hallucination that made the stories that ghosts are seen more at night because they scare people. I'm pretty not sure though.

Ok..!!! Most human were no seen in the night and Ghost were,In day time human were seen and Ghost were not Smiple.....!:P Simple is tht the great time for Human seem is day and to seem Ghost in the night:D
