Grapes?

Can hamsters eat grapes? if so, any they shouldn't? TY

No. They should not eat grapes. Grapes have way to much water in them to be giving them to a hampster. Hamsters can ger wet tail if they have to much water based foods in their diets.

Ohhh! I had no idea. That's great that you seem to know about hamsters and shared your knowledge. I would think a variety of food might still be fine as long as you didn't give lots of food with high water content. But I guess you do have to be careful since they are such small animals.

I think they can eat any fresh fruit like that... well maybe not citrus but grapes should be fine.

TY! We feed him other fresh veggies but it is the fruit were unsure off. Allt he sugars and water from them could possibly cause wet tail ...ick! I'd hate to be the cause of our lil hammy going under. TY for the responces!

Thats one thing that I'm not quite sure of. I've had a lot of hamsters in the past, but I've never fed any of them grapes. I never tried feeding them fresh foods. I guess I should have though.
