SALE items!

it was payday, i went to the mall and checked out few items. i suddenly saw this banner saying they have a 70% off sale on all items. i went in, scanned through some stuff and decided to buy quite a few things. i just can't get enough of sale items! i know it's not healthy but i just can't control it! i think it's the same for one or two women out there. whenever my mom and i go to this kind of sale-craze she would hoard items for the kitchen. and i obviously go to the shoes or clothes' section. funny thing is, i don't get tired. :)

I just love the sales with 70% and 75% off stuff. You can find some wonderful bargains. I bought 2 nice pair of name brand jeans for $3 a piece. There was a third pair that I didn't buy. I wish I had bought it though. At the time I was so excited to find such a bargain, I figured I would let someone else get happy on finding a bargain like that. My mom starts her Christmas shopping the day after Christmas, she gets most of hers done in January, she always finds terific bargains.

I wish I could find sales like that. Most I ever find are 25%-50% off. 3 bucks for a pair of jeans, dang. I was able to get 3 pairs of shoes at Old Navy for around 8 bucks. They had some pants for around 2-5 bucks. So I got one of each color in the 2 dollar section, and the only jeans in the 5 dollar section. I love sales, especially on clothes and things I use around the house.

I don't really like shopping but I will say that if I see one of those signs I will go and usually find all kinds of stuff to buy. I try to only shop when they are having big discounts or at the clearance sections. Shopping is more fun for me when I know that I am saving money.

I do the same thing. 70% off is a huge sale. it`s hard to pass up. just a few days ago I bought soaps, bubble bath and body wash at thebody shop.com. they were up to 75% off. I just could not pass it by. I love a good sale.

Oh my gosh, 70% off! I don't thikn that anyone, whether addicted to sale items or not, would be able to pass that kind of a sale up, unless it was a store that only had items that they had absolutely no use for! *laugh* Congrats on finding such a super sale! ^_^ I hope that you got a lot of great stuff, and I only wish that I could find a 70% sale around here! *laugh*

70% off items I should, never mind that you shop alot once you are shopping for things that are on sale and clearance. I think that people who just shop and shop are crazy because they are spending and not saving. Cool thing that you shop when things are on sale, me too. Well from one shopper to another wear comfortable shoes.

75% sales will always be a tempting one.i love to go for sales.even today there was a sale in a mearby top store and i went there.especially i will be having look only at cloths.i have set some maximum limit for my purchase for a month.so i wouldn't cross it.but sometimes i will just console myself and will buy thinking that in the next month i can compensate.

I just hit this sale that was 90% off, and I got a bunch of things for Christmas presents next year. I decided this year I am not going to do last minute shopping.

70% off, that's great. Sounds like you got some great deals. I moved to a place where the closest mall is a little over an hour away. I don't get the sales, but I am saving money.

I love, love, love a good sale, but I've been trying to refrain. It helps me refrain if I don't even go. I just have so much stuff already that I truly do not need more. Not to say I never indulge, but that is one area I'm trying to improve in.

i wish you luck! i also had that same experience. what i did is sell those items on the internet like ebay. i mean for me, if i can't use it might as well sell it.

try not to go window shopping when you don't have enough budget or if you don't have something really important items to purchase. or you may wait that time for an extreme sale up to 70% then you have to shop to the max for a year supply already then for that i think would be reasonable enough than getting into the ability of shopping like into hoarding style.

I have a liquidation store just around the corner from me, really convient so I go in probably 4 or 5 times a week. The other day I was there and they had Christmas stock on sale for 90% off. Needless to say I had to buy. Bought over 40.00 worth of stuff for 4 bucks. Now that was a sale. Had to hide it when I came home though, I'll bring it out next year and "oh, I've had that for years." lol.

I have shopping issues as well. My grandmother is always telling me that I need a shopper's anon program, which may indeed be true. So I will tell you the same thing that I tell her. For approx. 10 months of the year, I am stuck in a small town with min. stores available to actually shop at. I go to visit Halifax, where I am from, and it's nothing for me to drop $1000 in a day. So I binge shop..I find that to be ok, because it's all on huge sale items, and I really do need clothing, shoes, body jewelery etc. I don't get out to shop for 10 months! That's insane..to me anyways. As for me, it's everything, stuff for me, stuff for my kids, stuff for my house. Hmm...maybe I should start the shopper's anon program :P

I don't really buy much these days, I guess that is what happens when you have children and buy a house.. Everything i seem to purchase is for the kids, hubby or the house.. 70% off does sound really good though. But did you really need the items you purchased - or was it just the thrill of the 70% off that made you buy the goods?

I love a good sale too. I always shop at stores when they are having big sales, that is how I save money. But I won't go into a store and buy something I really don't want or need just because it is on sale.

You say you can't control your need to shop. Sounds like you are a shopaholic. There is an article on this at http://moremoneycentral.msn.com/content/SavingsandDebt/P58684.asp

Wow! Lucky you! 70% off sales are fun and they happen rarely. The fun thing about clearance sales like that is finding designer and/or branded items reduced to department store prices. If you look around enough, you get enough steals to fully upgrade your wardrobe for a mere fraction of the original cost.
