Elderly abuse

What would you do if you were strolling in a park or down a street and saw someone abusing an elderly person by cursing at them, smacking them on the head or pushing them around and the elderly person was clearly unable to help himself/herself?

I would definitely go say something. I would probably get to angry though, especially if the person told me to mind my own business or something, and give the person a punch in the teeth. That would just be too wrong for someone to ignore.
