Teaching a dog to catch frisbee

I have a puppy, a 4-5 month old lab/collie mix, that I would like to teach to play frisbee. My brother, who taught his pit to catch and bring back the frisbee, recommended starting with catch with a tennis ball or something like that and then moving up to the frisbee. And, to always have two of whatever I'm having her retrieve. She's doing okay with the whole idea of playing catch with a ball, except she gets distracted easily (what pup doesn't though?) Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I think puppies do get distracted, they are like little children they are still learning and is only natural that they will be distracted I think once he gets older he will settle down, ......maybe...:)
