Do you leave your computer on?

Do you leave your computer on throughout the day and even over night? I use to, but now that i'm living alone, the energy bill is substantially higher when the computer is left on, so now I shut it off when I am not using it for over 2 hours or so.

I actually never turn my computer off. It's very rare that I will, as I'm usually ALWAYS downloading something or having something important on there. I set all my alarms up from there and have a couple important web pages up so I can check them later (I hate using bookmarks, I always forget about it). It was actually very weird when I came home today and noticed that my computer was off. My mother was using it, so she turned it off without knowing I was downloading a new movie. OH well, wha'cha gonna' do?

That is good. For your pockets as well as the environment!

Years ago I usually left my computer on for 23 hours and shut it down for 1 hour everyday. The reason for it was, well, I was 'botting' an online game I used to play. But now as I already stopped playing that game, I shut down my computer when I'm not using it. I even pull off the plug if I'm going out of the house, because if there is lightning, it could damage my computer. It happened before, doesn't want it to happen again.
