Which do you prefer and why?

When shopping for groceries, do you prefer plastic or paper and why?

I take my own cloth bags when go for shopping. Though the plastic bags are very convenient, I think every body should avoid using the plastic bags for the simple reason it is going to be a serious health hazard, since it is not biodegradable.
