Have you ever tried to find family history online?

I have tried to search my ancestry online, only to be disappointed. There is a fee for everything. The only luck I had was when Ancestry.com gave you a free week a few months ago.
Do you know of any free sites that will actually let you search their archives?

you could try friends reunited as they have a family tree finder thing, i started it but lost interest as i hadnt the time .

I understand the time crunch. I never had time when I was younger, but now that my children have grown up and moved out there is a lot more time.
I will try friends reunited. Thanks for the suggestion.
