Old school videogames are the best. Bring on the SNES!

I find myself playing old school games far more than the new ones. There's just something so magical about turning on that Super Nintendo and firing up Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI, Zelda or one of my Mario games in 2D. Most of the newer games I play are Game Boy Advance games, so they are also 2D or a low-key version of 3D that doesn't cause the game to slow down at all. Anyone else here with me on this? I don't even care so much about the 32-bit generation - I just like the old-school games a lot. I still like many new-school games, but if you had to give me a choice, I'd pick old-school any day.

I'm so old that 'old school' to me means playing Pac Man and Asteroids in an arcade! Fortunately I never got into any of the game consoles--one more think to suck in all my time and money!

I'm with you on this. I always find myself playing old video games and anything else that is old too. I guess I am an old soul.
