Do you think that your dog is like a human?

I have a yorkie and I tell you sometimes when I think about it, he is somewhat like a human. He is a very smart dog and he loves attention. He's spoiled. But, a typical day is waking up gettin some water, he runs to the door to go outside then he comes back in the house to eat. the rest of the day is playing around with me or my son, napping, eating again around 2 so on and so forth. When I see this I think about myself, I have a routine too. I know sounds funny, but do your dog have a lil routine he/she follows throughout the day...Please share..

I have a Pom... she is very scheduled.. she prefers it that way. I think of her as a part of the family. She is my constant companion and I enjoy her company. But she wants a routine. She goes outside, and then wants a treat, then some coffee..yes.. i give her a little coffee everyday.. i started doing that when I caught her sneaking into my coffee cup when I left the room and drinking it for me.. she is a picky eater, and she likes to get brushed, and scratched everyday, as much as she can coerce you to do it..lol Other than that she follows me all over the house..always stays close by, listens to me when I speak, whether it is to her or not, does what I ask of her.. she is a really good dog, and sometimes she reminds me of a child..just the way she acts at times..

I totally agree with you. Dogs do have a lot of sense and needs and feelings even as we do. If I am upset about something he comes and lay on my lap. I know exactly what you mean and thank you for sharing...

That's so sweet....I totally understand what you mean. My dog is just a huge part of my family just like my son. He gets his way sometimes, but forever on schedule. Thank you for posting....

I think dogs are smart and sometimes able to understand what humans want. They are smart enough to understand or guess what their owners want them to do. In addition, they are quite in learning. Humans like us will tend to teach their dogs how to live like them. So maybe this is a reason why dogs are like human.
