What is a soul mate?

Lucky is he/she who finds his/her soul mate. Your soul mate is the one who can endure your pain, the one who shows astonishing intelligence in knowing when you are being helpless. He/She is the one you can rely on when you seem to be swimming against a current that is sweeping you backwards however hard you struggle. Every person has a soul mate with the same string of emotions woven together. Just look around you and stop being like an ant, which can see small objects but not large ones. This is my own opinion about the soul mate but, I respect also other opinions.

I feel like my hubby is my sole mate. I also have a wonderful best friend that I have had every since I was 14. I call her my side kick sole mate.

Yes you have said rightly we do have soul mates. This I realise when in train suddenly you start liking a fellow travellar and become good friends without knowing one another, that makes me think may be we were related in our past lives.

I so appreciate your discussion on this topic! Soul Mate is a term that I avoid at all costs due to its over-use, mis-use, and abuse. oh yes i have friends that i could say are my soulmates. a soulmate does not have a gender but it doesn't mean we will be lovers,am not into it. as long as that person affects me positively or otherwise , i consider him or her as a soulmate because a soulmate helps make our soul better to bring in the afterlife.

I believe in the concept of soul mates. I always look for the traits of a soul mate in the people I fall in love with, and believe me, I hve fallen in love with quite a lot people. But unfortunately, none of them turned out to be my soul mate. But I just keep going. That's the fun with the idea of soul mates. so many possibilities, and the experiences that come along!

I could easily believe that and that we are put here on earth to balance all that is around us. I have come to believe we all have purpose but it is up to us to choose to fulfill it.

I don't know if soul mate is the right phrase.I think there are kindred spirits,spirits who recognize one another.Kindred spirits are people you have known from past lives and I agree with the karmic side of it.

I agree with you there, I believe I have found a couple of soul mates in my life the most special both being my partner and my son. I definatly feel like i have met both before and the funny thing is we all finish each others sentences and seem to be thinking the same thing. I know people would say thats because we live together lol, but the first time i saw my fiance he was walking across the work carpark and I knew we were meant to be together, sounds silly i know but its true and even then id felt like i knew him for years, comfortable, at home even :). I truelly feel those who do find a soul mate or two are truelly blessed and I wish everyone out there the very best in finding yours xx
