Accommodation: Coconut Village Resort Service: 3/5 stars Location: 100 metres from Patong Beach Overview: Stayed 4 nights. Decent enough place. Lotsa greens and a very user friendly pool in the courtyard. Turns out that Patong Beach is a very long stretc of beach. Doesn't feel like Thailand - tonnes of tourists. Couldn't see any impact from the tsunami. Spend some time in Phi Phi Island. Check out the sea urchins there. Best way to get around is to rent a moped. bargain to as low as 200baht a day. I also figured that sellers in Phuket never display prices for the things that they are selling. Remember to bargain. the general rule is go with 50% of what he offered and work from there. The seafood spread is excellent. I especially loved the BBQ Seafood spread at one of the outdoor bars facing the sea. Total cost of holiday: MYR2500++/ USD660++
