Fastest processor-Intel Quad, but it is too costly, so try Intel Dual core. For the first time in 4 years Intel is enjoying a performance advantage over AMD, but is more costly. RAM- If you intend to use Vista go for 2GB RAM by sandisk or any reputable company. Graphics card-Nvidia is better than ATI or Palit, buy at least 128MB Hard disk upto 500GB (matbe even more now) is now found, but is very costly, go for 160 GB from seagate or any reputable company. Motherboard, compatible motherboard from ASUS or Gigabyte. I do not the places in the US to buy from, but if you have to assemble one, buy from a dealer you know and trust.

Yes they work better with nforce chipset than intel, but asus is not very good better to buy GigaByte. And the videocard must have high frequincy not high ram memory. And palit (daytona) are very poor quality,i had one videocard palit i i sold it in 1 week.
