President Bush as Abraham Lincoln?

So, I've been watching TV recently, and suddenly, newscasters and others are comparing President Bush with President Lincoln. They say he's similar, in that he's taking command of a war, like Lincoln did, and firing people until he gets the ones who work rightly for him. What do you think? Do you think they can be equated at all? Why or why not?

I would not compare my dog to Bush. He is a joke. His party is in trouble and they know it. They will be trying to pull out all the stops to boost their rating. One thing they need to remember: Lincoln was assinated!!!

This comparision isn't that far off. Surprisingly I started this post with just the opposite in mind. Lincoln started an illegal war, it was unconstitutional. He broke apart the union and then tried to hold it together by gunpoint. He found himself despised by a seeming majority of the country. This is the direction that President Bush is finding himself. He is also said to have started an "illegal war" although this is highly debatable. However, the leadership abilities leave no comparison. President Bush is a much better leader than Lincoln ever could have been.

Heck no...at least Lincoln abolished slavery. Bush has done nothing but put our country at it's highest deficit EVER, take away our privacy, create a war he can't figure out how to get out of, and mix politics with religion - the list goes on and on... It just reminds of when Paris Hilton tried to say she's the Princess Di of this year - give me a break (yet another idiot that needs to stop talking).
